Greene County Combined Health District is requesting assistance from the public in identifying residents of Greene County that are unable to get to a vaccination station. It is the Health Commissioner Melissa Howell’s goal to reach out to homebound individuals that need to receive the COVID vaccine.
The Fire Department is working with the Health District and the Bellbrook / Sugarcreek Community Support Center’s Executive Director Kelsey Hurlburt to create a list of people that are homebound in our community. If you know of anyone from the Bellbrook / Sugarcreek area that for whatever reason cannot physically get to an established Point of Distribution (POD) for vaccination, please call (937) 848-3810. The number listed is directly to the Bellbrook / Sugarcreek Community Support Center and they will gather the required information and will in turn pass it along to the Health District.
The Health District will send out teams of vaccinators directly to those individuals that have been deemed homebound and will be administering the Johnson and Johnson vaccine which only requires one dose.
