On November 4, 2008, the formation of a Merger Study Commission was approved by the voters of both Sugarcreek Township and the City of Bellbrook. This Merger Study Commission is comprised of ten individuals (five are residents of Sugarcreek Township and five are residents of the City of Bellbrook ).
The Merger Study Commission was formed according to the provisions of Chapter 709 of the Ohio Revised Code. Since December 2008, the Merger Study Commission has met on a regular basis to perform their required duties. The official website of the Merger Commission is www.mergerstudy.com.
